The Squadron takes part in the Netball Competitions aswell as other Sports. Each event goes towards the prestigious 'Best Overall Squadron at Sports' Award in the Merseyside Wing, in which the Squadron is aiming to maintain.
The Squadron played six teams overall, the first 3 of which were during the group stages in which the team needed to win to proceed onto the quarter final.
The quarter final was against Woolton Squadron in which the Squadron smashed through to proceed onto the semi-finals, which proved to be the most exciting match of the tournament!
This was against a much improved Prescot Squadron's side, in which they took the lead for the first half. The 90 (Speke) team's morale was dropping, but after a turn around half time team talk the team, who had fought so hard to get to this stage decided they were "In it to win it!"
They pulled it together and met victory, proceding on to the competition final against Chester Squadron, which proved to be a much less challenging match than the semi-final.
